I started in the computer industry in 1976. When I turned 62 I got laid off because I was “too old” to be employed. Bullocks. So I’m pursuing my own software development work.

The two languages I use the most are perl and PHP. I decided to use CakePHP as the framework for my future work (I wrote my own in the past), so I’m digging through the documentation and examples and such.

You’ll get lots of questions from me as I gain my literacy, but hopefully it won’t be long before I’m contributing back to the community.
